Blissful-Aquanatal in Pregnancy

April 9, 2018

 Feel good, keep fit and have fun!

Since February the Blissful-Babies Aquanatal sessions in Solihull and Coventry have been growing in popularity and we have some wonderful mummies to be exercising with us on a weekly basis.

During pregnancy exercising can often feel like the last thing you want to do of an evening, but the feedback from my ladies has been fantastic. Some have expressed how refreshed they feel afterwards and how well they slept that evening after exercise.

Aquanatal exercises can help your physical and mental fitness through :-

  • Helping to maintain your posture during exercise as your body is weightless in the water

  • Offering a method of relaxation

  • Leading to a more peaceful sleep

  • Reducing pain and swelling, including back pain, both before and after pregnancy

  • Gradually improving stamina and helping to reduce tiredness during pregnancy

As a result of improved physical fitness, other benefits include;

  • Lower risk of diabetics

  • Reduced blood pressure

  • Improved blood circulation

It is also believed that being physically fit can hep reduce the length of labour.

Attending Aquanatal classes not only helps to prepare your body for birth but also means that once your baby arrives, they’ll find the sounds of the pool familiar, helping them to feel relaxed in the water when you take them swimming.

My sessions currently run in Solihull at George's Swim Academy, Vulcan Rd on a Monday evening and in Coventry at West Coventry Academy, Tile Hill on a Tuesday evening.

Blissful-Babies offers a number of ways to organise your exercise, week to week bookings or advanced payment blocks. Come and join us for a fun, relaxing and enjoyable workout in the pool. Make new friends and join our socials with other mummies.
